An Ewon gateway (in this case, an Ewon Flexy) is installed inside the control panel of the machine and connected to the source of the data that needs to be monitored, such as PLCs or sensors.
The data can be logged inside the internal memory of the Ewon gateway, based on time intervals or value changes, converted to a different protocol such as OPC UA to be shared with another system such as a SCADA, and much more. A local web-dashboard can even be hosted on the Ewon gateway to allow easy visualization of the machine performance.
The Ewon can also be used to generate alarm notification that can be sent by email or SMS.
